Drop Trailer Is Out - Meghann Fahy’s Date Night Turns Into A Fight For Survival

Everyone is a suspect for Meghann Fahy in the latest Drop trailer! Returning with another mystery thriller, Christopher Landon’s upcoming film, Drop, shows how a perfect date can turn into a horror story. Featuring The White Lotus star Meghann Fahy in the lead, the trailer gives a glimpse into how her character, Violet, is terrorised by an unseen character during her first date in years. Besides Fahy, the film also features It Ends With Us actor Brandon Sklenar as Henry, Violet’s date.
The trailer opens to show Violet making a fresh start on her date with Henry when she starts receiving strange drops on her mobile phone. Things further escalate after Violet finds a hooded man at her home threatening to kill her son. As Violet struggles to find help while stitching pieces of evidence to identify the culprit, she receives the final directive – Kill Henry.

“Meghann Fahy plays Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years, who arrives at an upscale restaurant where she is relieved that her date, Henry, is more charming and handsome than she expected. But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone. She is instructed to tell nobody and follow instructions, or the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will kill Violet’s young son and babysitting sister. Violet must do exactly as directed, or everyone she loves will die. Her unseen tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry," the trailer synopsis reads.
Speaking about the film, the actress told PEOPLE, “I was on the edge of my seat watching it for the first time, and I made the movie! I’d never had the opportunity to do stunts like this before. Filming it was such an incredible experience."
Besides Fahy and Sklenar in the lead, Violett Beane and Jacob Robinson will be seen as Violet’s sister and son. Others in supporting roles include Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson. The film is directed by Christopher Landon, known for his work in films like We Have a Ghost and Blumhouse hits Freaky, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and Happy Death Day. Drop is set to release on April 11.
The film had its world premiere on March 9 at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival.
