Recently, Farah Khan talked about the festival of Holi and called it a festival of ‘chhapri’ people.

A complaint has been filed against the Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments. As reported by IANS, the complaint has been filed by social media personality Vikash Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau. In his complaint, he expressed disappointment with Farah Khan’s recent comment about Holi being a festival of “chhapris".

Reportedly, Hindustani Bhau filed the complaint at Khar Police Station, Mumbai and demanded legal action against Farah for her controversial statement. The complaint also urged the authorities to take strict action against Farah under sections 196, 299, 302 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),

    “The comment made by Farah Khan has disrespected the religious sentiments of Hindus. Referring to a sacred festival in such a manner is inappropriate and could lead to communal disharmony," Bhau’s lawyer stated.

    What Did Farah Khan Say About Holi?

    Recently, the filmmaker-choreographer, who is currently seen in Celebrity MasterChef, talked about the festival of Holi and called it a festival of ‘chhapri’ people. “Saare chhapri logon ka favourite festival Holi hota hai," she said.

    However, Farah Khan’s comment did not go down well with netizens. Several social media users expressed disappointment with her remark and accused her of hurting sentiments. “Do you ever talk about any of your festivals? Disgusting," one of the users wrote. “What da heck does she mean …. Aur chhapri… ha ha ha look whose talking," added another. Several others also called Farah’s remark insensitive.

    Meanwhile, Farah Khan was also in the news recently after she took a dig at Udin Narayan after his kissing controversy. It happened when Farah hosted her best friend Sania Mirza, her son Izhaan Mirza Malik, and her sister Anam Mirza at her residence, and gave fans a sneak-peek into their fun conversation in her YouTube video.

    A video clip from the episode went viral on social media and showed Farah Khan jokingly making a reference to singer Udit Narayan’s kissing controversy. She playfully urged Izhaan to give her a kiss on the cheek before handing the ball to him. As Izhaan tried to take the ball from Farah, she said, “First you have to give me a kiss, you know that." Sania added, “Or give a hug." Farah then said, “Come on, do a Udit ji on me!", leaving Sania in splits!
