BIGBANG’s G-Dragon surprised residents near the Goyang Sports Complex ahead of his upcoming world tour by gifting them volume-based garbage bags. On March 28, social media and online communities buzzed with a post titled “G-Dragon Gifts Garbage Bags to Residents Around the Concert Hall." The post revealed that the singer distributed the bags as a gesture of appreciation for their understanding of any inconveniences caused by the concert.

According to Kbizoom, the gift bags delivered to the residents carried a message that read, “G-DRAGON’s 2025 World Tour [Übermensch] in Korea, in collaboration with Coupang Play, will be held at Goyang Stadium. We sincerely thank the local residents for their understanding and cooperation."

An online community post about the gifted garbage bags quickly gained traction, with many praising G-Dragon’s thoughtful gesture. A resident wrote, “Hey, G-Dragon is holding a concert and the venue is near my house, so he gave out ten 20L garbage bags to say thank you for understanding about the noise."

One user remarked, “We’re grateful because it can be expensive!" while another wrote, “Trash bags are expensive, this is good!"

A person pointed out, “This is a good idea because the concert is across the street and it’s really noisy."

More remarks followed with comments like “Such a great idea!" and “It’s practical…great choice."

The gesture reminded fans of a similar act by IU ahead of her encore concert in September last year. Her team had also distributed volume-based garbage bags to residents near the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu, as a token of appreciation.

The bags came with a message that read, “The IU concert will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in 2024. Thank you for your generous understanding, residents."

Meanwhile, G-Dragon’s 2025 World Tour Ubermensch will be his first solo tour in about eight years. His last solo tour was the largest ever for a K-pop solo artist as it drew around 6,50,000 fans across 36 shows.

The upcoming tour takes its name from G-Dragon’s third solo studio album, Ubermensch, which was released in February. As per the Korea Herald, the album made an impressive debut as it topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 28 regions and sold over 6,20,000 copies on its first day.
