It seems all is not well between Guru Randhawa and T-Series. The musician-singer has allegedly hinted at a fallout with the music label T-Series, subtly claiming that he has been dealing with copyright issues. Reacting to a user’s comment on X (formerly Twitter), Guru said that he has maintained his silence on such issues for nearly a year and a half but believes the time has come to address them. He also added that things will get resolved soon.

All this began after a user on the micro-blogging site claimed that T-Series was trying to stop Guru Randhawa from working independently. “T Series is trying to block Guru from working independently or with another label! Shame on you," he wrote in the post. The user also attached a screenshot that showed that the video was no longer available due to “a copyright claim by TSeries Music."

Soon after the post went viral and came to the attention of Guru Randhawa, the singer replied to the user saying, “Big people face big problems. The issue will get resolved in a few days and we will come back stronger than ever."

“This year will be full of music and movies. Just gearing up. I hardly speak about all these issues but, yeah, it’s time to address and let you all know what’s been happening at the backend for the past 1.5 years. But, yes, hopefully, it will get resolved and things will be sorted in a nicer way," he added. Concluding in a light-hearted note, he continued, “Till then, spread love. God is the greatest."

The year 2024 saw Guru Randhawa collaborating with international artists including Rick Ross for the track Rich Life. Additionally, Guru also teamed up with singer Jonita Gandhi and the American electric duo The Chainsmokers for the song Addicted. The collaboration also features Brazilian DJ Zerb and German producer Ink.

Guru Randhawa is popular for delivering chartbusters such as Patola, High Rated Gabru, Suit Suit, Ishare Tere, Ban Jaa Tu Meri Rani and Lagdi Lahore Di. Last year, reports emerged suggesting a lawsuit was filed against Guru Randhawa, T-Series and Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd for copyright infringement.
