Salman Khan’s 2015 film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, is undoubtedly one of the biggest blockbusters of his career. Now, how wonderful would it be if the makers decided on a sequel to the film? If the latest reports are anything to go by, the Sikandar star’s recent meeting with screenwriter V Vijayendra Prasad, sparked speculations about Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Kabir Khan helmed the film.
An independent industry source recently claimed that Salman’s latest meeting with V Vijayendra Prasad could be about the sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. “Salman Khan has met V Vijayendra Prasad a couple of days back. They have come up with an idea and discussions are on that could be for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Moreover, there is a chance of possible collaboration between V. Vijayendra Prasad and director Kabir Khan, the trio is coming together. However, nothing has been finalised yet," the source told Pinkvilla.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan struck an emotional chord with the audience and earned widespread acclaim due to it’s storytelling, casting and narrative. If the rumours are at all true, it’ll be interesting to see which direction the sequel takes.
This isn’t the first time that conversations on the sequel of the film have surfaced on the web. The audience have always been eager to know if Bajrangi Bhaijaan would ever have a sequel. Interestingly, director Kabir Khan never said no to the possibility. In an interview with Connect Cine, he said, “If you ask me abhi kuch hai script k level pe toh nahi. Ideas hai and there are many interesting ways of taking Bajrangi forward. (If you ask me if there’s any script ready, then no. There are ideas and have many interesting ways of taking Bajrangi forward)."
The filmmmaker also added that though the script isn’t ready, he has some interesting ideas to work on. He mentioned that the sequel could look at the adventures of Bajrangi and Chand Nawab, played by Salman and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, respectively.
