Following the global success of RRR, Jr NTR’s stardom has skyrocketed beyond Indian audiences, gaining him a massive international fanbase. Currently, the actor is in Japan alongside director Koratala Siva to promote Devara: Part 1, set to hit Japanese theatres on March 28. As part of the promotional tour, Jr NTR has been actively engaging with his Japanese fans, attending events, and making memorable appearances. One particular moment has captured everyone’s attention — a stunning picture he shared on his Instagram story, posing stylishly against the backdrop of Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms.

Dressed in an effortlessly cool black shirt layered under a black jacket with abstract white embroidery, paired with sleek black pants and trendy boots, Jr NTR exuded charm and confidence. Despite juggling a packed schedule — including shooting for WAR 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan — the actor made time to connect with fans, signing autographs, posing for photos, and even breaking into an impromptu dance on stage during the promotional events.

In a previous interview with The Hindu, Jr NTR called Devara his “most ambitious movie." He explained, “I’ve been a part of so far in my career. It’s very high on VFX which is a different craft altogether and Rajamouli has mastered it. He knows when, where, why and how to use it. So it’s not everybody’s cup of tea."

“We felt that to tell a story like this, a single-part, three-hour narration is not enough. If our audiences were ready to watch a five-hour movie, we would have done that. But we have a stigma that it might test the patience of the audience. Animal was 3 hours and 24 minutes and that movie worked. Such a runtime needs to be justified," NTR added.

He explained that while most films show a hero helping people and after many find confidence. Devara, according to Jr NTR, is different. In this story, people are already strong and fearless, but an outsider arrives to remind them that having some fear is also important.

Other than Jr NTR, Devara: Part 1 also stars Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko. The movie is planned as a two-part series and the sequel is set to release in 2027.
