Kantara Chapter 1 Update: Over 500 Skilled Fighters Hired For War Sequence In Rishab Shetty's Film
Just a few days back, it was also reported that Rishab Shetty is also preparing extensively for a war sequence in the film.
Kantara chapter 1 is one of the most awaited films. While fans are eagerly waiting for the Rishab Shetty starrer, it has now been revealed that the makers have hired over 500 skilled fighters to shoot a war sequence for the movie. As reported by IANS, the fighters who have been hired are specialists in action choreography and will help craft a war sequence which will leave the audience stunned.
“Hombale Films is going all out for Kantara: Chapter 1, bringing together over 500 skilled fighters to create a war sequence like never before. With experts in action choreography leading the way, this promises to be a cinematic spectacle of epic proportions," a source close to the film’s production said, as quoted by the news agency.

Just a few days back, it was also reported that Rishab Shetty is also preparing extensively for a war sequence in the film. Reportedly, he has learned horse riding and sword fighting over the months to shoot for this sequence.
“Actor Rishab Shetty underwent several months of preparation for a war sequence in Kantara: Chapter 1, which he is currently shooting. The war sequence includes horse riding, Kalaripayattu, and sword fighting, all of which the actor has learned," an insider claimed.
Kantara: Chapter 1 is set in the Kadamba period in Karnataka. The Kadambas were significant rulers of parts of Karnataka and played a major role in shaping the architecture and culture of the region. That period was known to be a Golden Period of Indian History.
Rishab Shetty is not just playing the lead in Kantara but is also directing it. It was in 2023 that Shetty announced that what the audiences saw was actually part 2 and therefore what will be released next will be Kantara’s prequel.
“We are very pleased and thankful to the audience who had shown immense love and support to Kantara and taking the journey ahead, with the blessing of almighty Daiva the film has successfully completed 100 days and I would like to take this opportunity to announce the prequel of Kantara. What you have seen is actually Part 2, Part 1 will come next year," he had said.
Kantara: Chapter 1 will hit theatres on October 2, 2025.
