Karan Boolani Wishes Mother-In-Law Sunita Kapoor On Her Birthday: 'You Are A Superhero'

Sunita Kapoor, wife of Anil Kapoor, is celebrating her 60th birthday today, 25 March 2025. To mark the occasion, her son-in-law Karan Boolani shared a heartfelt birthday wish. Taking to Instagram, the filmmaker posted a series of unseen pictures from past vacations and family gatherings. He even called Sunita a “Superhero."
The first post is a happy family portrait featuring Anil Kapoor, Sunita Kapoor, their daughters Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, and their sons-in-law Anand Ahuja and Karan Boolani. The next image shows Sunita casually posing with Rhea.

The mother-daughter duo is dressed in colourful traditional outfits. The last picture, seemingly from a Diwali or wedding function, features the entire family, including Anil, Sunita, Sonam, Rhea, Anand, Karan and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, dressed in their traditional best.

Rhea also wished her mother on her special day. Sharing a series of throwback pictures on Instagram, the producer wrote, “Happy birthday to the iconic SONU. The stars must have aligned in the brightest sky to make you my mama. I’m so lucky! Love you forever."

Karan and Rhea tied the knot on 15 August 2021 in a private ceremony after dating for 12 years.
While Rhea Kapoor thrives as a fashion designer, she has also produced films like Aisha, Khoobsurat, Veere Di Wedding, Thank You for Coming and Crew.
Meanwhile, her husband Karan made his directorial debut in 2023 with the comedy-drama film Thank You for Coming, starring Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill, Kusha Kapila and Dolly Singh.
