Known for her powerhouse vocals and bold fashion choices, Katy turned heads in a futuristic silver gown as she attended the 11th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony on Saturday, April 5, at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar. The event, which celebrates achievements in science, was the perfect stage for Katy to serve some serious sci-fi glam.

Her statement-making outfit – designed by Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta – was straight out of his Spring 2024 Couture collection. The asymmetrical gown featured nude-toned sheer panels holding the metallic fabric in place, daring cutouts and a soft train. She completed the look with a dramatic silver headpiece wrapped around her head and neck and fully embraced the galactic theme of the evening.
To balance the over-the-top ensemble, Katy kept her accessories and glam minimal – with shimmery silver eyeshadow, soft mauve lips, and rosy cheeks. Her hair, styled in soft curls, tied the whole cosmic look together.
Taking to Instagram, the Roar singer shared a carousel of pictures from the prestigious award ceremony, which celebrated scientists making groundbreaking strides in gene editing, human diseases and more. While Katy Perry stole the show with her futuristic red carpet look, she also left the audience mesmerized with a power-packed performance, proving yet again that she is a true star both on and off the stage.

Katy Perry is all set to make history as part of the first-ever all-female space crew, alongside Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, astronaut and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn. The mission is scheduled for liftoff on April 14.
Meanwhile, the 40-year-old pop star will soon kick off her much-anticipated The Lifetimes Tour, starting April 23 in Mexico City.
