KL Rahul Can’t Stop Gushing Over Newborn Baby Girl: ‘Obviously, I Will Say Cute’

Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul recently stepped into a new chapter of their lives as they became parents to their first child. The couple welcomed their baby girl on March 24, 2025, and ever since then, fans have been waiting with bated breaths to know more about the little one. Seems like their wait is over, as new dad KL Rahul recently shared a sweet update, which immediately took the internet by storm.
The cricketer, after missing the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) opening match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2025, joined his team in their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). A day before DC locked horns with SRH, the official account of KL’s team shared a video where he was seen talking with Nitish Kumar Reddy during the training season. Of course, the two had a conversation about the 32-year-old becoming a father.

In the video, SRH’s all-rounder came in and hugged KL, asking him how he had been and congratulating him on becoming a father. Nitish then inquired, “How is your baby?" To this, he replied, “Good." Reddy then followed up with “Cute?!" The new father could not hide his excitement and he said, “Cute. Obviously, I will say cute."
As the two cricketers continued with their conversation, KL Rahul further showed Nitish that his baby was really small with a hand gesture. This heartwarming moment left fans gushing. Taking to the comment section of the video, which has now been viewed over 4.5 million times, fans could not help but swoon over KL Rahul’s description of his newborn baby.

Just days after welcoming her baby girl into this world, actress Athiya Shetty dropped a photo on her Instagram Stories that shows two plates filled with flowers and Kumkum, and wrote ‘Om’ on it. While the new mom did not mention the occasion for such preparation, it seemed like the family welcomed their new member into their home.
On March 24, Athiya and KL Rahul shared a painting of two swans along with a message that read, “Blessed with a Baby Girl. 24.03.2025. Athiya And Rahul." Expressing their happiness over embracing parenthood, the couple simply shared an angel emoji in the caption of the post.
