According to IndieWire, Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming film—inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1997 novel Vineland—will feature Leonardo DiCaprio as a civil rights activist who joins an anti-government group to take on a dangerous white supremacist organization. DiCaprio’s character teams up with fellow activists played by Teyana Taylor, Regina Hall, and Alana Haim, while Sean Penn portrays the leader of the white nationalist group, joined by Shayna McHale and Wood Harris. The film also stars Chase Infiniti, who plays DiCaprio’s daughter in the story.
