Power Rangers’ Former Cast Member Reveals Shocking Working Conditions On Set
In a preview of the episode, Dubois is seen explaining the situation that led to the actor having the stroke.

Investigation Discovery is back with another episode of the popular series Hollywood Demons focussing on what transpired behind the production of ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’. The latest episode sheds light on the work environment and struggles of actors, writers, and crew members behind the iconic TV series.
In a preview of the episode, Audri Dubois, who briefly played the Yellow Ranger, recalled the moment an actor suffered a heat stroke on the sets.

“When we’re shooting the pilot, we’re out in the desert. It’s got to be 110 degrees—and someone has heat stroke," she said.
Dubois explained the situation that caused the stroke. The actor, who played a villain, was wearing a wetsuit, a rubber mask over his head, she said.
“He’s flopping around like a fish.…Me and the others had come together and agreed we were not going to continue shooting until this guy got in an ambulance," the actress recalled. Notably, Dubois was only featured in the pilot episode of the show, before being replaced by Thuy Trang. Trang had also left the show in season 2 due to serious contract disputes.
Audri Dubois revealed that during filming, the production even offered $100 to anyone willing to wear a suit and help continue filming the episode. To her surprise, someone volunteered, while the original actor was waiting for an ambulance in his underwear.
The episode also appears to be featuring the show’s head writer Tony Oliver. Highlighting the show’s toxic environment, Oliver alleged that the contract allowed the production to exploit actors.
The comments highlight the tough conditions faced during production, despite which, the wildly popular franchise appeared in four feature films and over 25 TV series. The series first appeared in 1993 and went on to become one of the most iconic pop culture phenomena of its time.
