While she didn’t directly mention the speculations about her relationship status, she seemingly calling out people’s obsession with gossip about her personal life. In her latest Instagram story, the actress expressed her frustration with how celebrities’ personal lives often overshadow professional accomplishments. This comes at a time when rumours about Priyanka and her Udaariyaan co-star Ankit’s breakup have been hitting the headlines.
Last month, netizens noticed that they both unfollowed each other on Instagram, thus triggering breakup speculations. On Friday, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary took to her Instagram story, and wrote, “If only work got the same attention as private matters, this industry would be unstoppable," along with a lighting emoji. Meanwhile, Priyanka recently turned showstopper at a fashion event in Mumbai. At the event, she talked about ‘evolving’ and stated that changes are always good, further adding fuel to her rumoured breakup with Ankit. When asked about the evolution in fashion, Priyanka told IANS that according to her, it is always good to evolve whether it is in relationships or fashion. “I believe it is always good to evolve- changes are always good. One has to move forward in order to evolve. So, definitely, it is a good thing to evolve, whether it is in a relationship or fashion," she said.
A few days ago, Ankit confirmed his exit from ‘Tere Ho Jaayein Hum’, in which he was supposed to star alongside Priyanka. The show is produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s Dreamiyata. He cited needing ‘time for himself’ and told Bollywood Bubble, “I backed out of the project with Ravi-Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself."
Priyanka and Ankit first met on the sets of Udaariyaan, where their on-screen chemistry made them fan favourites. Their connection deepened further during Bigg Boss 16. Beyond television, they have also collaborated on several music videos. Whenever questioned about their relationship, both reiterated that they were best friends and preferred to keep it that way.
