Priyanka Chopra Shares Travel Mood On Her Way To Hyderabad For SS Rajamouli’s Next Film
SSMB 29 marks Priyanka Chopra’s return to Indian cinema after her last Hindi film, The Sky Is Pink, which released in 2019.
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated project, SSMB 29, featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, has been making headlines since its announcement. Known for grand-scale films like Baahubali and RRR, Rajamouli’s next promises another massive cinematic experience for his fans. The actors have been managing packed schedules. Priyanka, currently based in Los Angeles, has been flying in and out of India for the shoot and is now heading to Hyderabad once again to resume filming.
She recently shared an update on social media that hinted at her travel plans. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she posted a video of herself wearing a red-light mask during a flight. Along with the clip, she wrote, “OMW Hyderabad." She also added a question for her fans: “What do you do on long flights?"

This isn’t her first trip to India for the film. Earlier, she flew down for the second schedule of SSMB 29, which was held in Odisha. During her time on set, she celebrated Holi with the team and also posted pictures from the festivities.

The film officially began in January with a closed-door puja ceremony followed by an initial shoot in Hyderabad. Later, the team moved to Odisha for the second schedule. But the Odisha shoot reportedly faced multiple leaks from the set that surfaced online. In response, the makers decided to tighten security and a “three-layer security arrangement" was put in place to prevent any further incidents, Times Now reported.
There were also rumours that Rajamouli might follow the format of his Baahubali films and release it in two parts, but this speculation was later dismissed. The director is planning to release the film as a single film only.
“SS Rajamouli is a firm believer in breaking all norms and narrates stories in a format that holds the attention of the audience. He started the trend of narrating a single story in two parts with Baahubali, and is now looking to revamp the game by mounting a story as vast as SSMB 29 in a single part," a source told Pinkvilla.
The source further shared with the entertainment portal that SSMB 29 is a multi-layered narrative that weaves together elements of reality, mythology, fiction and adventure.
The film has been penned by Rajamouli’s father, V. Vijayendra Prasad, and is currently scheduled for release in 2027.
