Rohit Shetty Has This To Say About Arjun Kapoor’s Danger Langa In Singham Again
Arjun Kapoor has received a lot of praise from fans over his performance as Danger Lanka in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again.
Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor made his much-awaited comeback to the big screen with Rohit Shetty’s Singham again, portraying the villainous character of Danger Langa. Owing to his powerful performance as the lead antagonist, the actor has received a lot of praise from fans and critics alike, followed by appreciation from fellow Bollywood actors. Overwhelmed by the positive reactions, Arjun Kapoor has been humbly expressing his gratitude to fans and also director Rohit Shetty for casting him. Despite the appreciation, a section of fans still appear to be adamant about their views on Kapoor’s acting skills; however, the director thought otherwise.
Arjun Kapoor recently shared a video showing Rohit Shetty speaking about his casting in Singham Again. In the video, the director mentioned the connection between Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi and Singham Again, stating that they needed an actor to play Jackie Shroff’s grandson and Arjun Kapoor seemed to be the best fit for it.

“At that time, we were thinking about whom to cast and I used to meet Arjun a lot at that time. So I said ‘Let’s take the risk and do it with Arjun’. When we asked him if he was willing to do the character Arjun was like ‘I will do anything you say. I have faith in you.’ During the shooting, I was convinced that everyone would be asking why I had cast him for the role, cause he was going through a tough phase at the time. When we went through the trial, I was sure that people would come with zero expectations for him and would eventually like his performance the most," Shetty said in the interview.
Reiterating that his prediction came out to be true, Shetty added that while the film had a star-studded casting, it seems to have been originally made for only Arjun Kapoor.
Moved by the director’s encouraging words and faith in him, Arjun Kapoor also shared the video on his Instagram stories with folding hands and heart emojis, showing his gratitude and admiration.
This is not the first time that Rohit Shetty has come in support of Arjun. Previously in an interview with News18, he opened up on the trolls attaching Kapoor. Explaining that the actor worked really hard on it and gave his 10000 per cent to his character, Shetty added that the audiences had a change of mind after watching the film.
