Recently ace filmmaker Hansal Mehta has officially confirmed that he is working on a film with Saif Ali Khan. While details about the project remain under wraps, Mehta mentioned that the film is based on a book. He also revealed that he is looking forward to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Hansal Mehta was seen attending Cinevesture International Film Festival in Chandigarh. Mid-Day quoted him saying , “Saif and I are working on a film. I am directing it. It’s an adaptation of a book." Hansal Mehta also expressed his wish to work with Kareena Kapoor Khan again after The Buckingham Murders. “We have sent a script to Kareena. Every time I look at a script, I ask, ‘Can we do something with Kareena?’ You want to work with her over and over again; she is a different beast altogether. Kareena is one of the most prepared persons on set, a thorough professional, and always happy. She is a big star, but it was a privilege. It was as if I was working with Pratik [Gandhi] or Rajkummar [Rao]," he added.
Coming to Saif Ali Khan, he will be next seen in Jewel Thief. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film is backed by Siddharth Anand and features an ensemble cast, including Kunal Kapoor, Nikita Dutta, and Gagan Arora. According to a Pinkvilla report, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix on March 27, though an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
