Bollywood megastar Salman Khan kept his beloved Eid tradition alive, stepping out to greet his fans outside Galaxy Apartments—but with a significant change. Amid ongoing security concerns and recent death threats, the Sikandar actor made his appearance behind a bulletproof glass enclosure, ensuring safety without breaking the long-standing connection with his fans.

Despite the precautionary setup, the atmosphere remained warm and celebratory. Joining Salman on the balcony was his adorable niece Ayat, who charmed the crowd and social media alike. The actor, known for being a doting mamu, waved to the cheering crowd with Ayat by his side, turning a tense moment into a heart-melting one.

This Eid also marked the release of Sikandar, Salman’s return to the big screen after a two-year hiatus. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, arrived with solid expectations—though not quite the electric buzz associated with earlier Eid blockbusters.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, Sikandar earned Rs 26 crore on its opening day. On March 30, 2025, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 21.60%. Morning shows began slow with 13.76% occupancy but saw a rise through the day—peaking at over 25% in the evening.

City-specific data revealed a consistent trend: Mumbai reported 21.5% occupancy in the morning and 24% in the evening and night shows. The NCR region mirrored this with slight variation, while Pune trailed slightly behind with a maximum of 21% in the evening.

Though the film’s Day 1 performance was solid, it fell short of matching past Salman-led Eid hits like Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore) and Tiger 3 (Rs 53.3 crore). In fact, Sikandar even trailed behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which opened at Rs 31 crore.

News18 Showsha gave the film a rating of 3.5 stars. An excerpt from the review read, “Salman Khan’s presence is electrifying, and he commands every scene with his trademark charisma. Whether he’s delivering punchlines, performing stunts or simply walking into a room, his aura is undeniable. Sikandar is an unapologetic Salman Khan vehicle, and it’s a wild ride that’s sure to leave fans grinning from ear to ear."

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.
