SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi And Woozi To Begin Military Service After Celebrating Group’s 10th Anniversary
At their annual fan meeting, SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND, Hoshi and Woozi announced their enlistment plans.

The members of the popular K-pop group SEVENTEEN continue to prepare for their mandatory military service. Following Jeonghan and Wonwoo, two more members, Hoshi and Woozi, have now announced their enlistment plans.
During their annual fan meeting, SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND, held on March 20 and 21, all active members, including Jun, came together for an unforgettable event. The group captivated fans with powerful performances of their hit songs. As the show concluded, each member shared heartfelt messages, with Hoshi addressing his upcoming enlistment.

The 28-year-old singer and dancer shared that he and Woozi, aka Lee Ji Hoon, would enlist in the military in the second half of 2025. Kwon Soon Young, aka Hoshi, also mentioned that the two would be able to celebrate SEVENTEEN’s 10th debut anniversary before going for their mandatory service. “Woozi and I have received our military enlistment schedules. We’re planning to enlist in the second half of the year, so we’ll be able to spend the 10th anniversary together and make some fun memories before we go," he began his speech, as quoted by Koreaboo.
Hoshi then praised SEVENTEEN’s leader, S.Coups, aka Choi Seung Cheol, for keeping all 13 of them together since they debuted. He said, “I’ve never said this before, but I’m really grateful to S.Coups for keeping all 13 of us together since we were young." Such praiseworthy words brought S.Coups to tears.
The K-pop idol ended his speech by addressing their fans and saying that they are going to take the challenge to last forever. “Maybe because it’s time to enlist, every performance feels even more precious. It’s not like we’re disappearing—we will continue to work hard even after we return. People say nothing lasts forever, but SEVENTEEN is going to take on that challenge. We’ll need your support to do it," Hoshi mentioned as he concluded his speech.
SEVENTEEN, who made their debut in May 2015 with the EP 17 Carat, will be celebrating their 10th debut anniversary on May 16, 2025. Formed under Pledis Entertainment, the 13-membered group is considered one of the biggest K-pop groups. After their 10th anniversary celebrations, Hoshi and Woozi would enlist in the military, whereas their bandmate Wonwoo would be enlisting on April 3, 2025.
