Salman Khan’s Sikandar continues its box office run despite a sharp dip in collections. Released on Eid, the action-packed entertainer, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is gradually nearing the Rs 100 crore mark.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Sikandar earned Rs 9.75 crore on its fourth day (Wednesday), bringing its total domestic collection to approximately Rs 84.25 crore. However, this marks a significant 50% decline from the previous day’s earnings. On April 2, the film recorded an overall 10.77% occupancy across theatres.

Tuesday marked the first weekday for Sikandar, where it managed to collect Rs 19.5 crore in India. By then, the film’s India Net collection stood at Rs 74.50 crore, while its global earnings soared to Rs 123.75 crore. The overseas market contributed Rs 88.75 crore, showcasing Salman’s strong international pull.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh weighed in on Sikandar’s performance, noting its potential but also pointing out its underwhelming domestic reception. “Sikandar recorded a 10.98% growth on Monday (Eid holiday), but the numbers should have been much higher—ideally in the Rs 45 crore range—considering Salman Khan’s Eid track record," he shared on X.

He further said, “While the mass belt saw growth on Eid, urban centres underperformed despite the holiday. The real test begins on Wednesday."

The makers previously announced that the film grossed Rs 105.89 crore worldwide in just two days, thanking fans for their support. However, despite a strong opening, Sikandar has faced hurdles, including online leaks and mixed reviews from critics.

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi. However, it is also facing stiff competition from Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava and Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan.
