Sonu Sood Shares Challenges Of Making Fateh: ‘I Wanted To Work With The Best’

Sonu Sood made his directorial debut with the newly released film Fateh, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz and Naseeruddin Shah. Fans and critics have been heaping praises on the film. In the latest, Sonu Sood has spoken out about the difficulties he had while making his directorial debut with the film Fateh. The film is about the fight against cybercrime and was inspired by real-life occurrences during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Talking about the challenges he faced while making Fateh, Sonu Sood told ANI, “I wanted to work with the best of the best in the world. A lot of people, including the action director who shot Fast and Furious, Jurassic Park and the song which was written by Hans Zimmer, To the Moon… so getting all these people from Hollywood was a big challenge but I, like I said when you are doing your first you have to make sure you get the best."

Sharing his take on working on a complex theme such as cybercrime, the actor noted, “Everything that comes, comes with pros and cons. The kind of scams that we come across, those deepfakes, and instant loan apps, always target the needy. It is not about a rich or famous person getting scammed but it is about a common man getting scammed and how much suffering they go through." He added that people need to make every regular man in this country aware of this. When utilising mobile phones, one must exercise extreme caution. The film contains something with the potential to improve people’s lives.
When asked about whether he plans to direct more films in the future, the actor agreed and mentioned that he “truly enjoyed" directing Fateh. Assuring his fans, Sonu sood said, “get ready for the second soon."
Sonu Sood played the role of Fateh Singh, a former special operations officer. Fateh’s plot revolves around the officer’s job as a dairy farming supervisor in Punjab until a local girl falls victim to a cybercrime syndicate. Fateh Singh then teams up with Khushi Sharma (played by Jacqueliene Fernandez), an ethical hacker, to save Nimrit and bring down the cybercrime syndicate. The high-octane action thriller Fateh is produced by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions.
