Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Jennifer Mistry Recalls Her Last Day, Says 'Mera Naam Roshan Tha...'
Jennifer Mistry left TMKOC in 2023 and later filed a complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi for alleged sexual harassment at the workplace.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame actress Jennifer Mistry has penned down an emotional note on social media. On Friday, she took to her Instagram handle and shared a couple of throwback photos from the sets of the show. She talked about the relevance of March 7 in her life and revealed that not only she got an offer from TMKOC team on the same date in 2008 but she also shot last for the show on March 7 in 2023.
“Log chahte hai k unka naam Roshan ho, mera naam Roshan tha, maine Jennifer kar diya. 2 years completed today for the last day of shoot of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah… On the same day (7th March) in 2008 when I was praying to my departed Roshan Fui who expired on 7th March 1993, I got a call from TMKOC for the role of Roshan… and 7th March 2023 was my last day… Is that coincidence or synchronicity! I feel the latter, as God is working for me behind the scenes… God works in mysterious ways. Immense gratitude to the Universe," Jennifer wrote.

Jennifer Mistry used to play the role of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in TMKOC. However, she left the show in 2023 and later filed a complaint against Asit Kumarr Modi, the show’s Project Head Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj for alleged sexual harassment at the workplace. The three were booked under sections 354 and 509 (Assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
In February 2024, Jennifer won the case against Asit Modi. Announcing the verdict in favour of the actress, the court ordered Asit Kumarr Modi to clear her outstanding dues and further asked him to pay her Rs 5 lakh as compensation. However, no punishment was given to Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj.
However, Jennifer expressed disappointment with the verdict and argued that Rs 5 lakh “can not be the amount to be paid for causing mental trauma to a person for one entire year."
