URI Director Aditya Dhar Reacts To Pahalgam Terror Attack: 'They Want Kashmir, We Want Their Heads'
Aditya recently produced Article 370, a film that starred Yami and focused on the revocation of the special constitutional status for Jammu and Kashmir.
Aditya Dhar, director of the 2019 blockbuster URI: The Surgical Strike, has reacted strongly to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The filmmaker, who is currently shooting his upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar, took to Instagram to express his outrage. “Unhe Kashmir chahiye, humein unka sar," he wrote, translating to “They want Kashmir, we want their heads."
The attack, which occurred on Tuesday (April 22), claimed the lives of several tourists, leaving the nation in mourning. Dhar’s post echoed the anger and grief many are feeling in the aftermath of the brutal incident. His wife, actress Yami Gautam, also shared her reaction on her Instagram story, writing “Heartbroken" with the hashtag #PahalgamTerroristAttack.

Meanwhile, Dhar is deep into the production of Dhurandhar, a high-octane espionage drama set in the 1970s and 1980s—what many call the golden era of India’s intelligence agency R&AW. The film features a powerful ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt.
According to a Pinkvilla report, “Ranveer is all charged up for the film, as it’s a performance-driven action thriller, revisiting some of the most important chapters in the history of R&AW."
Dhurandhar is being produced by Jyoti Deshpande from Jio Studios, in collaboration with Aditya and Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios. Following the critical and commercial success of Article 370, expectations are high for Dhar’s next outing. With a gripping storyline and a stellar cast, Dhurandhar is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the year.
