Vasan Bala Finds Rajkummar Rao’s Doppelganger In THIS Italian Actor, Stree 2 Star REACTS: ‘Let’s Make…’
Filmmaker Vasan Bala joked that Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao is living a double life as an Italian actor!
Director Vasan Bala recently pointed out a striking resemblance between Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao and Italian actor Giuseppe Maggio. The filmmaker came across a poster of Jessica Palud’s French film ‘Being Maria’, which introduces Giuseppe Maggio as Bernardo Bertolucci. Vasan Bala couldn’t help but notice how similar he looks to the ‘Stree 2’ star. Sharing his observation, he humorously pointed out that Rajkummar is living a double life as an Italian actor. Rajkummar played along, and indulged in light-hearted banter by suggesting that they should remake the Oscar-winning Italian film ‘Life Is Beautiful’.
On Saturday, Vasan Bala took to his Instagram stories to re-share a poster of ‘Being Maria’ that featured Italian actor Giuseppe Maggio. Sharing the poster, the Jigra director wrote, “Rajkummar Rao living a double life as an Italian actor." Rajkummar also shared Vasan Bala’s story, and added his own touch of humour by replying, “Hahahaha Vasan Bala let’s make life is beautiful," along with a red heart emoji. Rajkummar Rao has previously worked with Vasan Bala in the 2022 neo-noir crime thriller film ‘Monica, O My Darling.’ The film, which released on Netflix, also starred Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte. It was based on the 1989 Japanese detective novel ‘Burutasu No Shinzou’, by Keigo Higashino. The film released good reviews from critics, and was lauded for the actors’ performance.

Apart from Bhool Chuk Maaf, he also has gangster action thriller ‘Maalik’ in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Rajkummar and his wife Patralekhaa are also set to embark on a new cinematic journey as producers with Netflix’s upcoming comedy film, ‘Toaster’.
