Meanwhile, during a recent promotional event, Sunny Deol was asked about his previous statement about not wanting to classify Jaat as a religious film. In answer, the actor acknowledged that these discussions might be sensitive. Sunny Deol stated, “See, people get sensitive when you all talk about it. We should not be talking about all these things. Because at the end of the day, we are loved by everyone and we love everyone. We represent the whole country. As a matter of fact, the whole world. So, it is nothing like we are trying to uplift or look down on anybody. Aisa kuchh nahi hai (There’s nothing like that)." He added that the goal of going to the movies is to have fun and leave with a positive feeling.

Jaat, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is a full-fledged entertainer. Aside from Sunny Deol, the film stars Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher and others. Jaat also marks Sunny Deol’s first onscreen collaboration with Randeep Hooda, who is playing the antagonist Ranatunga in the film.

On the work front, Sunny Deol has a number of exciting ventures ahead of him. He will be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s historical drama Lahore 1947, his first work with Aamir Khan Productions. He will also reprise his iconic role in the Anurag Singh-directed sequel to Border.
