Yuzvendra Chahal Urges All To 'Be Kind' Amid Dhanashree Verma Divorce: 'It Is Chaos'
The couple tied the knot in 2020 and now it has been reported that their divorce is being finalised.
Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and choreographer Dhanashree Verma have been grabbing headlines following their divorce rumours. They have been sharing a lot of cryptic posts, which are going viral. In a recent one, Yuzvendra shared a post urging everyone to be kind amid the divorce rumours.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Yuzvendra wrote, “Be Kind, its chaos." On Wednesday i.e. on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, Dhanashree took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of Lord Shiva. In the caption of her post, Dhanashree wrote, “May lord Shiva shower on you his blessings with happiness, prosperity and success." Dhanashree’s post comes days after it was reported that the couple, who tied the knot in 2020, have finalised their divorce.

The former’s lawyer recently revealed the proceedings are still underway. “I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated," the lawyer said.
Later, a report by ABP News claimed that during the court hearing, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra revealed that they had been living separately for 18 months. When asked about the possible reason behind seeking divorce, the couple admitted that they had ‘compatibility issues’.
Meanwhile, several reports also claimed that the choreographer was seeking Rs 60 crore in alimony from the cricketer. However, Dhanashree’s family recently rejected the claims. On Friday, a member of the Verma family issued a statement and called alimony reports “baseless". The family member expressed disappointment with the viral claims and urged everyone not to spread “baseless" information. The member clarified that Dhanashree Verma never asked for any alimony from Chahal.
“We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumours whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation. Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy," the statement read.
