Amit Shah's speculated three-day Bengal visit in March will come as the Bengal BJP is electing a new president and preparing to fight the polls
With the Bengal and Bihar elections approaching, sources say union home minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah is likely to visit Bihar and Bengal in March.
Sources added that both the tours are likely to be for three days each. The dates are yet to be decided. “The primary focus remains Bihar," said a BJP source.

“The timing of it is dependent on the second part of the Budget Session which will resume shortly."
Just ahead of this year’s election, the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar expanded its cabinet with the induction of seven ministers, carefully balanced by caste.
However, Shah will take stock of ground realities and detect anti-incumbency, if any, well before the election.
Meanwhile, West Bengal will go to the polls in 2026 — five years after the BJP suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
On Thursday, TMC chief and Bengal chief minister (CM) Mamata Banerjee sounded the poll bugle at an organisational meeting in Kolkata.
