Mary Kom's Marriage In Turmoil? Rumors Of Separation And Possible Divorce Surface: Report
A report by the Hindustan Times has stated that the couple are facing issues in their marriage, which has escalated to an extent where the two have reportedly separated.
Although Indian boxing icon Mary Kom seems to have evaded making headlines recently, it seems as if the Olympian has now been thrust into the spotlight, with rumors of a potential divorce with husband Karung Onkholer, also known as Onler, surfacing with more allegations of Mary Kom having moved on to another relationship flooding floating around.
A report by the Hindustan Times has stated that the couple are facing issues in their marriage, which has escalated to an extent where the two have reportedly separated and are living alone on their own currently.

“Mary moved to Faridabad with their (four) children, while Onler has been living in Delhi with some family members," a source reportedly close to the couple admitted to Hindustan Times.
“Their differences escalated after the elections. Mary was reportedly unhappy about the financial losses — around INR 2–3 crores — incurred during the campaign and (the fact) that he lost."
The campaign mentioned here refers to Onler’s venture into politics in 2021, when he announcing his candidacy for the Manipur assembly elections from the Saikot constituency. He expressed his intention to work for the development of the region, noting that his decision was made after consulting with Mary.
Yet, Onler lost, leading to heightened tension between the pair, according to a report from the Hindustan Times.
“It was Mary’s idea. He didn’t want to contest and had warned her that Manipur’s political landscape was volatile at the time," the source said, adding, “After the defeat, things worsened. Their usual marital disagreements turned serious, and Mary moved into her Faridabad house with the kids."
In another twist of the tale, it has also been hinted by several people from the boxing community, according to the report, that Mary Kom has pursued another relationship.
“The separation rumours about Mary Kom and Onler might not be just rumours. No one knows the reason for sure, though. Everyone whispers about Mary ma’am being in a relationship with another boxer’s husband," stated a boxer, who chose to remain anonymous while speaking to Hindustan Times.
“Speculation has been fuelled further by her recent Instagram posts featuring him as her business associate."
Much remains to be unfolded, yet for now, the allegations are rife. Mary Kom and Onler are both yet to officially address any and all of the rumours.
