UAE Sets Up Solar-Powered Rest Stations For Delivery Riders

Abu Dhabi has introduced air-conditioned rest stations to support delivery riders during scorching summers. Powered by solar energy, these stations offer a much-needed respite where riders can take a break, hydrate and recharge their mobile devices between deliveries. The rest stations are equipped with seating, water dispensers and mobile charging facilities, making it more convenient for the delivery workforce. The initiative, called 'Summer Together,' is a collaborative effort between the UAE Joint Committee for Traffic Safety and food delivery company Talabat.
