With the rise of artificial intelligence, tasks like writing articles, crafting resumes and drafting cover letters have become incredibly easy. A man has taken AI to the next level by revolutionising the job-hunting process. By using a homemade AI bot, the man submitted applications for an astonishing 1,000 jobs—all while he was fast asleep. Yes, you read that right.

The individual recently shared his remarkable experience on Reddit, detailing how he used a homemade AI bot to automatically apply for 1,000 jobs and secure around 50 interviews. He praised the bot for significantly streamlining his job search process. The most impressive part? The AI bot handled all the applications while the man peacefully slept in his bed.

In a lengthy post, the user claimed that he created an AI bot that analyses candidate information, examines job descriptions, generates unique CVs and cover letters for each job, answers specific questions that recruiters ask, and automatically applies for jobs.

He added, “And all of this was done while I was sleeping! In just one month, this method helped me secure around 50 interviews. The tailored CVs and cover letters, customised based on each job description, made a significant difference."

Sharing this, the user expresses that artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the recruiting landscape as job seekers can optimise their CVs in seconds, cover letters are crafted with a click, and perfect matching between skills and job offers as well as recruiters are using automated screening systems.

“This method is incredibly effective at passing through automated screening systems. By generating CVs and cover letters tailored to each job description, my script significantly increases the chances of getting noticed by both AI and human recruiters," he wrote.

Although the effectiveness of AI is quite clear, it also raises concerns about the loss of personal connections in the hiring process. Pointing this out, the Reddit user said that as AI-optimised applications become more common, qualities like creativity, empathy, and communication may become more valuable in the workplace.

“While efficient, the automation of job applications raises questions about the very nature of professional relationships. We face a paradox: as we seek to optimise the selection process, we risk losing the human element that often makes a difference in a work environment," he concluded.
