A tea seller in Madhya Pradesh bought a moped, likely his dream bike. To celebrate its homecoming, he went all out and spent Rs 60,000 on a DJ party – an amount that could have covered the purchase without needing a loan.

But the celebrations didn’t stop there.

Kushwaha even went as far as hiring a JCB machine to lift his newly purchased moped high into the air, while his family, friends, and curious passersby cheered on. And if you think that he rode the vehicle home from the showroom, you are mistaken. He transported it on a decorated buggy instead, the Times of India (TOI) reported.

Kushwaha financed the moped with a loan, making a down payment of Rs 20,000. Yes, you read that right! He spent thrice the down payment amount on celebrations itself.

He, his family of five and friends danced to DJ’s music, followed by a baraat (this time to bring a bike instead of a bride home). When they reached the showroom, Kushwaha garlanded it and had it lifted high in the sky using JCB and took selfies with it.

“I am happy that I provide for my family. Every celebration is a way to bring joy to my kids," said Kushwaha who has three children – a daughter named Priyanka and two sons, Ram and Shyam.

While Kushwaha and his loved ones enjoyed moped’s grand homecoming, the police were less impressed. They not only seized the DJ equipment but filed a case against the operator and Kushwaha for causing noise pollution.

This, however, is not the first time that Kushwaha threw a party for a new purchase. The MP resident, who sells tea on a cart at Durgadas Rathore Chauraha in Shivpuri, bought a smartphone worth Rs 12,500 on loan for his daughter three years ago. He spent Rs 25,000 on celebrations back then.
