'Volcanoes Will Erupt': Scientists Sound The Alarm, Explain How Life On Earth Will End
Bristol University scientists, led by Alexander Farnsworth, predict in Nature Geoscience, that Earth will face total destruction in 250 million years due to extreme heat and CO2 levels

The green Earth is moving towards destruction, scientists believe, warning that the situation will become so dire that no living creature will survive anywhere, including on land and in the sea. This is being called ‘the day of complete destruction’. Scientists, constantly researching why and how this will happen, have now predicted the date of Earth’s ultimate fate.
According to a Daily Mail report, scientists from Bristol University conducted a computer simulation that revealed a catastrophe could occur on Earth after the next 250 million years, resulting in total destruction.

According to scientists, all living things on Earth, including humans, will disappear. At that time, the Earth’s temperature will reach 70 degrees Celsius. No animal or human can survive in such an environment. Everything will be destroyed due to extreme heat.
Scientists say this extinction is likely to happen sooner due to the rate at which we are increasing the amount of carbon on Earth. A similar situation is said to have led to the extinction of dinosaurs 66 million years ago.
While explaining the history of the Earth, it was noted that the last supercontinent, named Pangaea, lasted from 330 million to 170 million years ago. Now, scientists believe that after 250 million years, all the continents will merge to form the supercontinent Pangaea Ultima. Scientists say that Earth will first heat up, then dry up, and eventually become uninhabitable.
Furthermore, volcanoes erupt when they cannot withstand heat, and it is said that most of the Earth is covered with volcanoes. In such a situation, as the Earth heats up, volcanoes will also erupt, releasing huge levels of carbon dioxide. This will further aggravate the situation, ending life on Earth devoid of food and water sources, scientists said.
Alexander Farnsworth, the head of the research team, has stated that the Earth will become unfit for any living creature because it will become extremely hot. He explained that with twice the amount of carbon dioxide in the world now, people would die from heatstroke. His research was published in Nature Geoscience in 2023.
More than 40 billion tons of carbon dioxide will be released compared to now, making breathing difficult. Humans and other living organisms will die in agony due to a lack of oxygen. A large number of people will be wiped out at once. It is possible that habitable conditions may only remain on the edges of the southern and northern parts of Pangaea Ultima.
