A girl from Bihar has come up with a reason behind the turmeric applying ritual performed before weddings. Pooja Sharma’s humorous take on the haldi ceremony is rapidly gaining popularity on social media.
Pooja shared the amusing video on her Instagram account with the caption, “We keep taking rounds after marriage". In the video, Pooja humorously remarks, “Hey! Tell me one thing, have you ever wondered why the turmeric ritual is performed before weddings? Actually, marriage is such a pain, a wound that never heals. That’s why family members apply turmeric beforehand, repeatedly saying, ‘Bear it, son, bear it. After marriage, you’ll have to endure it.’ That’s how they mislead you."
She continues, “But you don’t understand and go ahead with the wedding pheras. After those pheras, you spend your life following your wife – sometimes carrying vegetables, sometimes something else. You had such a carefree life before. What did you get after marriage? Only tension."
Pooja’s video quickly went viral, garnering over 1.7 million likes and countless shares. The comment section is abuzz with reactions. Qayyum Bhartiya commented, “Turmeric is beneficial for internal injuries."
Rakesh Chaudhary jokingly added, “We are ready to bear the wounds if we get a wife like you."
