KKR's Harshit Rana Avoids Serious Injury After Bravely Diving For A Catch Vs PBKS In IPL 2025 Match
Harshit Rana nearly put it all on the line in an attempt to take a catch as his dive nearly injured KKR's premier fast-bowler during the game against Punjab Kings in Kolkata.

Harshit Rana put it all on the line to help turn the tide in favour of the Kolkata Knight Riders, who were under the pump against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League 2025 fixture at the Eden Gardens Stadium on Saturday evening.
PBKS’ opening batter, Prabhsimran Singh, was going on a rampage as he hit one delivery by Varun Chakaravarthy, where he slogged one to the long-on region. The Indian pacer put in a fine dive to take a catch, but fell onto the practice pitch where he was seemingly hurt for the moment. But the good news for KKR fans is that he got back up and was on the field.

But it has been a dismal display by the KKR bowlers, with both Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh setting the platform for a massive total by scoring 69 and 83, respectively.
The PBKS captain, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and chose to bat first against his former franchise and his former home ground.
Both sides made two changes each. The hosts opted to bring in Rovman Powell and Chetan Sakariya, replacing Moeen Ali and Ramandeep Singh. The visitors replaced Marcus Stoinis and Xavier Bartlett by bringing in Glenn Maxwell, Azmatullah Omarzai.
Young Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh had earlier smashed half-centuries and shared a 120-run opening-wicket stand as Punjab Kings scored a challenging 201 for 4 at the Eden Gardens, promising a Super Saturday.
KKR came out to bat but could only play one over and score seven runs before a strong thunderstorm followed by showers ended hopes of any further play.
Earlier, opting to bat first, PBKS were off to a flying start with Priyansh, who had hit the fourth joint-fastest IPL ton earlier this season, made 69 off 35 balls while Prabhsimran made 83 off 49 balls as the KKR bowlers toiled without success till the 12th over.
Vaibhav Arora (2/34), Varun Chakravarthy (1/39) and Andre Russell (1/27) were the wicket-takers for KKR.
