Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Former ED Chief, Is Now Full-Time Member Of EAC-PM
PM Modi appointed former ED chief Sanjay Kumar Mishra as a full-time member of the Economic Advisory Council to contribute to economic policy advisory matters.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the appointment of former Enforcement Directorate (ED) chief Sanjay Kumar Mishra as full-time Economic Advisory Council (EAC) member. Mishra will now contribute to economic policy advisory matters. His appointment comes amid ongoing economic reforms and policy evaluations.
EAC-PM is an independent body constituted to advise on economic and related issues to the government, specifically to the Prime Minister.

Who Is Sanjay Kumar Mishra?
Sanjay Kumar Mishra is a retired IRS (Income Tax) 1984 batch officer. He was appointed as the chief of ED on November 19, 2018, for a tenure of two years. Before his appointment, he was posted as chief commissioner of Income Tax in Delhi.
