Mishra will now contribute to economic policy advisory matters. His appointment comes amid ongoing economic reforms and policy evaluations.
EAC-PM is an independent body constituted to advise on economic and related issues to the government, specifically to the Prime Minister.

Sanjay Kumar Mishra is a retired IRS (Income Tax) 1984 batch officer. He was appointed as the chief of ED on November 19, 2018, for a tenure of two years. Before his appointment, he was posted as chief commissioner of Income Tax in Delhi.
