Abhishek Bachchan’s hilarious marriage advice to Arjun Kapoor at Showsha Reel Awards leaves everyone in splits.

The News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2025 turned into a laughter riot when Abhishek Bachchan, fresh off his Best Actor (Jury) win for I Want To Talk, dropped some hilarious marriage wisdom on host Arjun Kapoor. While accepting his first-ever Best Actor award in his two-decade-long career, Abhishek’s acceptance speech took an unexpected and humorous turn when Arjun playfully asked him a loaded question.
“Kaun hai woh insaan jo jab kehte hain, ‘Abhishek, I want to talk,’ toh aap stress mein aa jate hain?" Arjun quizzed Abhishek, adding a touch of mischief to the moment. Without skipping a beat, Abhishek, who has been married to Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for over 17 years, delivered a mic-drop response.

“Tumhari shaadi nahi hui hai na abhi tak… jab ho jaayegi, you’ll have an answer for that," Abhishek quipped, making the audience burst into laughter. He added, “When you get a call from the missus and she says, ‘I want to talk,’ you know you’re in trouble, yeah!"
Arjun, quick to acknowledge the wisdom that comes with marriage, joked, “I think that’s the last and all that you need to hear when someone says, ‘I want to talk.’ But thank you, Abhishek! Congratulations."
Despite the fun banter, Abhishek’s speech struck an emotional chord as he expressed gratitude to Shoojit Sircar and his co-stars. “This is my first-ever Best Actor Award. I’d like to thank the esteemed jury for considering me worthy. The credit entirely goes to Shoojit Da, who is such a wonderful director. I’d also like to share this honour with my two brilliant on-screen daughters, Ahilya and Pearl, who made me look really good. To all my fellow actors and filmmakers here, your work inspires me to be the best version of myself every single day."
