Aishwarya Rai's Sister-In-Law Makes Rare Comment On Actor's Mom Battling Cancer: 'She Wasn't Looking...'
Aishwarya Rai's sister-in-law made a brief comment about the actress's mother Brindya Rai's battle with cancer.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sister-in-law Shrima Rai commented on her mother-in-law, aka Aishwarya’s mother Brindya Rai’s battle with cancer. Last year, Aishwarya had revealed her mother battled with cancer. Now, the actress’s sister-in-law Shrima also opened up about Brindya’s cancer battle. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Shrima was giving a shoutout to Brindya for taking care of Shrima’s kids while she could take a break. In the post, she made a statement about Brindya’s cancer battle.
The social media influencer shared a selfie with Brindya and wrote, “A big shoutout to my MIL for all the support and love and babysitting the kids while I went on my getaway. While she underwent cancer, I refrained from posting her too much because she wasn’t looking her best and I respect her privacy." She placed a crown emoji on her Brindya in the photo.

Last year, on the occasion of her birthday, Aishwarya revealed her mother was diagnosed with cancer in early 2023. At a special event organised by GSB Seva Mandal for cancer patients, Aishwarya revealed her mother had battled with cancer. Aishwarya’s father Krishnaraj Rai, lost his battle to cancer and died in March 2017.
“Okay, I don’t know if I should be saying this, but Cancer has touched our lives personally. First it was my dad and my mum got it earlier this year but she has come out of it, with the support of so many incredible doctors and a lot of love and blessings from everyone," Aishwarya said at the event.
Aishwarya is extremely close to her mother. They are often spotted together, be at events or at family get togethers. Recently, Brindya made an appearance on Aishwarya’s recent post featuring photos from Aaradhya’s birthday bash. Aishwarya shared a picture in which she and Aaradhya posed with Brindya.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya has been in the news for over the rumours of her divorce with Abhishek Bachchan. However, she has not commented about the speculations.
