Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’s Aasif Sheikh Struggles To Walk After Injury: 'Still Limping'
Aasif Sheikh, known for his role in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, collapsed on set and is recovering from a foot injury. He also mourns the loss of his friend and writer Manoj Santoshi.

Aasif Sheikh, known for his role as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, recently collapsed on the set during an intense fight sequence in Dehradun. The 60-year-old actor was quickly rushed to the hospital. He has now shared an update on his health recovery mode saying he is not able to put his foot on the floor.
Talking about his fall, in an interview with The Times of India, the actor said, “It was the second last day of the shoot. I took heavy painkillers and shot for the last few scenes. Since I couldn’t stand and walk, I came back to Mumbai in a wheelchair. I am on painkillers and steroids and now I am due to for an MRI today. I have been on bed rest ever since I returned to Mumbai. I am slowly recovering. I am not able to put my foot on the floor and I am still limping."

Besides dealing with his physical injury, Aasif Sheikh also shared the emotional toll of losing his dear friend and writer Manoj Santoshi, who passed away on Monday due to liver-related complications. “I lost a very good friend. My relationship with Manoj Santoshi, goes several years back. He was a great talent, a great writer. He has left a big void in my life," the actor said.
In a statement earlier, Aasif had revealed, “I started experiencing numbness in my foot, and the pain from sciatica worsened the situation." He went on to explain that he was transported back to Mumbai in a wheelchair and had been advised to take complete bed rest.
“I arrived in Mumbai on the 18th and have been resting since. My treatment is ongoing, and I’ll need about a week more to recover. Hopefully, I’ll be back in front of the camera soon," he shared, reassuring fans that he’s on the road to recovery.
Aasif Sheikh debuted in the industry with India’s first daily soap opera, Hum Log. In the television series, he portrayed Prince Ajay Singh. Additionally, he is known for his roles in shows like Yes Boss, which had a long run on television beginning from 1999 to 2009.
