Neha Kakkar hit the headlines a few days ago after a video of her breaking down and apologizing to the crowd for coming late to her Melbourne concert went viral.
Singer Neha Kakkar has finally addressed the controversy over her Melbourne concert, revealing what exactly happened on that day. Neha, who arrived 3 hours late to her concert in Melbourne, faced an angry crowd who booed her and urged her to go back. A video of her breaking down on stage, and apologizing to the crowd went viral. Now, Neha has revealed that the organizers ran away without payment, and that her band wasn’t provided with basic necessities like food, hotel, or water. She said that despite all this, they still went on stage for the show because her fans were waiting for her.
Neha shared that the sound check also got delayed because the vendor was not paid, and that she wasn’t even aware whether the concert was happening because the organizers stopped picking her managers’ calls. In her latest Instagram post, Neha Kakkar broke her silence over the controversy, and wrote, “They said she came 3 hrs late, did they even ask once that What happened to her, what did they do to her and her band? When I spoke on stage I didn’t even tell anyone what happened to us coz I didn’t want anyone to get harmed coz who am I to punish anyone but now that it’s come on my name, I had to speak up. So here it is!"

Neha Kakkar Says She Performed Absolutely Free For Her Melbourne Audience
Neha added, “Do you all know that I performed absolutely Free for my Melbourne audience? The organisers ran away with my money and others too. My band was not even given food, hotel and even water. My husband and his boys went and provided them food. Inspite of all this We still went on stage and did the show without any rest or anything bcz there my fans were waiting for hrs for me."
“Do you know our sound check got delayed by hrs coz the sound vendor was not paid and he refused to put the sound on. And when after so much of delay our sound check started, I could not reach the venue, couldn’t do the sound check, we did not even know if the concert is happening coz the organisers stopped picking my manager’s calls coz apparently they were running away from the sponsors n everyone. Though there’s still a lot to share but I guess this is enough," she continued.
Lastly, Neha Kakkar thanked all those who came out in support of her, and attempted to clarify the situation. She wrote that she will always be thankful to all those who attended her concert in Melbourne that day, and danced their hearts out.

Reacting to Neha’s post, her brother Tony Kakkar wrote, “Sadddddddd…. You had to go through all this :((((," while her husband Rohanpreet Singh commented, “We all love you and so proud of you my girl. You are an Inspiration!" Sonu Kakkar commented, “My babu." Meanwhile, music composer Vishal Dadlani commented, “I had the same thing happen to us in Boston many years ago. Learnt a hard lesson. I did tell our audience though, that the local organisers had scammed them and us. I’m glad you’ve explained it openly. Sadly, whenever something like this happens, the artist always gets blamed. I’m glad people will get to know the reasons for the chaos. Sorry that you guys had to go through so much @nehakakkar."
Many fans showered love on Neha Kakkar, and dropped encouraging messages for her. “From no food, no hotel, no sound check—yet you STILL performed? That’s true dedication! The haters owe you an apology now," commented one fan, while another one wrote, “Proud of you nehu."

The viral video from her Melbourne concert showed Neha Kakkar addressing the audience, while fighting back her tears. “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance," she said.
However, a section of the audience booed her. “Go back! Rest in your hotel", said one of the audience members, while another one said, “This is not India, you’re in Australia", “We have been waiting for three hours."
