Actor Gautam Gulati recently expressed his love for the 2016 romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, which has been re-released in theaters after gaining a strong fan following over the years. He praised the film for finding its audience over time and congratulated the cast and crew on its success. Gautam wrote on X:
“Some stories find their audience in time, and Sanam Teri Kasam is the perfect example of that! A film that deserved all the love back then is finally getting its due after 9 years. Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, Sanam Teri Kasam stars Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane. Despite its initial modest reception, the film has garnered a dedicated fan base and is now being celebrated for its heartfelt storytelling.

Recently, taking to his Instagram stories, Anil Kapoor shared the film’s poster and wrote, “Congratulations to @deepakmukut and the entire Sanam Teri Kasam team on its re-release! The film has already won hearts, and its success is truly well-earned. Wishing @harshvardhanrane, @mawrellous, @sohamrockstrent, @hunarmukut, and everyone involved even more milestones ahead!" Other than Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, the movie stars Anurag Sinha, Manish Chaudhari, Murli Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Shraddha Das and Sudesh Berry in key roles.
When Sanam Teri Kasam was first released in 2016, it made just Rs 9 crore. However, according to Sacnilk, the re-release has surprised everyone by collecting Rs 30.85 crore so far and it is expected to earn even more. The movie is now the second highest earning re-release in India, just behind last year’s hit Tumbbad, which made about Rs 32 crore. It has also surpassed Thalapathy Vijay’s Ghilli and Ranbir Kapoor’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani records.
