Shanaya Kapoor’s Ghibli-Style Avatar Is Straight Out Of A Miyazaki Masterpiece
The actress shared an AI-generated illustration of herself from the sets of her debut film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.
If you’re an avid social media user, you must’ve stumbled upon the AI-generated art pictures, called Studio Ghibli-inspired images, that have taken the internet by storm. From Bollywood celebrities to several sports personalities, several people are embracing the viral trend by sharing their pictures that look straight out of a Miyazaki art studio. The latest one to join the bandwagon is actress Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor.
Taking to Instagram, Starkid shared an AI-generated illustration of herself from the sets of her debut film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The post is a collage image showcasing both the real and the Ghibli-inspired studio art of the actress, wherein she is seen holding the film’s clapboard.

Apart from her, other celebs who joined the ongoing Ghibli trend are Arjun Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Bharti Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Rakul Preet Singh, Parineeti Chopra, Mouni Roy and others.
Talking about Shanaya, the actress, will be making her Bollywood debut with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan alongside Vikrant Massey. Helmed by Santosh Singh, known for projects like Broken But Beautiful and Apharan, it is written by acclaimed writers like Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla.
The film is reportedly based on writer Ruskin Bond’s short story titled The Eyes Have It, wherein the actress will be seen portraying a theater artist while Vikrant will be seen playing a blind musician. It is expected to hit the big screens by mid-2025. However, an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited.
Apart from this, she also has Anand L Rai’s upcoming production venture Tu Yaa Main, co-starring Adarsh Gourav. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, the film is a survival thriller and will be released on the big screens on Valentine’s Day 2026 and will face a Bollywood clash with Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
Not just these, Shanaya also has a pan-India film titled Vrushabha with the Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The Nanda Kishore directorial also stars Meka Srikanth, Ramachandran Raju, Zahrah S Khan and Ragini Dwivedi in significant roles. The official release date of the film is yet to be announced.
