Actress Sharmin Segal, who rose to fame with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, is reportedly expecting her first child with husband Aman Mehta. On Thursday, journalist Vickey Lalwani took to his Instagram handle and claimed that Sharmin is due anytime soon.
“Good news is hard knocking on the doors of Bhansali and Segal households; Sharmin is due anytime soon," he wrote. However, it should be noted that neither Sharmin nor her husband Aman has reacted to the pregnancy news as of now.

Who Is Sharmin Segal Married To?
Sharmin Segal is married to Aman Mehta – the Executive Director for Torrent Pharmaceuticals, a division of the Torrent Group. The two tied the knot in a private ceremony in November 2023 in Italy. Aman Mehta is the heir to a billion-dollar empire. As per Bloomberg’s Index for 2024, Aman Mehta’s father, Samir Mehta, has a whopping net worth of $6.44 billion (Rs 53,800 crore). As per reports, Samir and Aman majorly overlook the pharmaceutical division of the company. According to a Forbes report, Torrent Pharma’s revenue alone was $4.6 billion (approximately Rs 38,412 crore).
When Sharmin Segal Was Trolled For Her Heeramandi Performance
Sharmin Segal faced massive criticism after the release of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar in May 2024. The actress, who is also Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece, played the role of Alamzeb in the web series. However, her performance in the show left many disappointed.
Sharmin also reacted to the trolling later. “I’ve been working on my mental health for a very long time in my life now. It is just not throughout my acting life. It is something when you start understanding yourself better, it becomes a lot easier to realise that you live in a very vast world where people with a lot of opinions," she told Pinkvilla.
“I’ve chosen this profession to cater to an audience, so I was prepared for reactions and responses and there has been so much love also. Sometimes, looking at the negativity, we tend to completely omit the positivity. Maybe the first few days it did. I just felt a little like uneasy, but after that, it’s always a constant dialogue with yourself. You have thoughts, and then you think about those thoughts, judge, and that is what shapes morality and ethics," the actress had said.
