10 Pakistani Paramilitary Personnel Killed In IED Blast In Balochistan
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed the responsibility of the blast saying that its operations against occupying enemy (Pakistan army) army will continue with intensity.

Ten Pakistani paramilitary personnel were killed after their vehicle was exploded in a remote-controlled IED attack in Western Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) said on Friday.
According to news agency AFP, security vehicle hit a roadside improvised bomb early in Margat Chowki, around 30 km (19 miles) from Quetta.

The BLA claimed the responsibility of the blast saying that its operations against occupying enemy (Pakistan army) army will continue with intensity.
According to the BLA, the deceased army personnel include Subedar Shehzad Ameen, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, Sepoy Zahid, Sepoy Khurram Saleem and others.
“Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters targeted a convoy of occupying Pakistani Army in a remote-controlled IED attack in Margat, a suburb of Quetta. In this operation, an enemy vehicle was completely destroyed and all 10 personnel on board were eliminated. Baloch Liberation Army accepts responsibility for this attack and makes it clear that our operations against occupying enemy army will continue with intensity," BLA said in a statement.
Violence has surged in Balochistan, which borders Afghanistan and Iran, in recent years as separatist militant groups step up their fight against the state that they accuse of exploiting the region’s natural resources.
The latest attack came a day after a roadside bomb hit a vehicle and killed three people in Kalat, a district in Balochistan.
Earlier, two security personnel guarding a polio vaccination team were shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Wednesday. The incident took place in the Teeri area of Mastung district, where Levies personnel protecting the polio vaccination team were attacked by masked gunmen, Assistant Commissioner Akram Harifal told the media.
Earlier in March, the Jaffar Express, carrying some 400 passengers in nine coaches, was going from Quetta to Peshawar when the BLA militants derailed it using explosives and hijacked it near the mountainous terrain of Gudalar and Piru Kunri in a tunnel 160 km from Quetta.
BLA was designated as a terrorist organisation by the United States in 2019.
