IPL 2025 Points Table, Updated Standings After LSG vs PBKS:

Punjab Kings climbed to the second spot in the Indian Premier League 2025 table with their 8-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants, who were pushed to sixth in the standings following their second defeat in three games. PBKS managed to scale the 172 run target in 16.2 overs, thanks to half-centuries from Prabhsimran Singh and skipper Shreyas Iyer as the opener set the stage up well with his 69 runs for his skipper to also finish with an unbeaten 52, to bring up his second fifty of the season.

Put to bat first, LSG managed their way to a total of 171 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, riding on Nicholas Pooran’s 44-run knock and Ayush Badoni’s 41-run innings as Punjab seamer Arshdeep Singh posted a three-wicket haul, while Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Maxwell, Marco Jansen, and Yuzvendra Chahal all picked up a scalp each.

The rout proved enough for LSG to slip behind Mumbai Indians in the dynamic points table as the five-time champions were rewarded for their massive win over holders Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to remain atop the league table with a superior net run rate compared to the Punja Kings. Delhi Capitals stand third with as many points as the higher-placed duo, however, their NRR holds them behind. Gujarat Titans stand fourth with a win from two games.
