Virat Kohli's Celebration After Travis Head's Wicket In Champions Trophy Semifinal Goes Viral: Watch
Varun Chakaravarthy removed Travis Head on the second ball of his first over of the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal match between India and Australia.

Batting superstar Virat Kohli on Tuesday (March 4) was seen aggressively celebrating Travis Head’s wicket. Head, after getting a lifeline at 0, was dismissed after making 39 runs from 33 balls by Varun Chakaravarthy on the second ball of the ninth over of the ongoing India-Australia Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal match. Head, who scored a century against India in the ODI World Cup 2023 final, was looking in good touch on Tuesday as well, but he failed to convert his good start into a big knock and was sent back by the mystery spinner, who retained his place in the playing XI after taking a five-wicket haul in the last match against New Zealand.

Australian team management had high hopes from Head in the ongoing semifinal, and the left-handed batter, after making a cautious start, lived up to the expectations as well. He added 50 runs for the second wicket with Steve Smith before returning back to the pavilion and hammered 5 fours and two sixes during his stay at the crease.
For the semifinal match, Australian team management made two changes to the playing XI. Left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson was left out to make way for Tanveer Sangha, and Cooper Connolly replaced injured Matthew Short. But in his first ODI against India, Connolly failed to do anything with the bat and was sent back to the pavilion by Mohammed Shami for 0 runs from nine balls.
He was caught behind by KL Rahul on the last ball of the third over of the match.
India, on the other hand, is playing with the same team that secured a 44-run win over New Zealand in the last Group A match played on Sunday (March 4).
