Telangana Cabinet Expansion Likely On April 4, CM Reddy May Part With Portfolios
Despite the expansion, two Cabinet berths will remain vacant. Notably, the Rangareddy and Hyderabad districts will continue to lack representation in the Cabinet.

The much-anticipated Cabinet expansion of the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government is expected to take place on April 4, with the induction of four new ministers, sources revealed on Tuesday.
According to sources, the frontrunners for the ministerial posts are G. Vivek Venkatswamy (Chennur), Vakiti Srihari (Makhtal), Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy (Munugode), and P. Sudharshan Reddy (Bodhan).

The party high command is also reportedly considering Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy, Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas, and Devarakonda MLA Balu Naik (ST) for future inductions.
The Congress government is under intense scrutiny as it struggles to deliver its numerous campaign promises. With the opposition breathing down its neck, the government faces immense pressure to fulfill its commitments, particularly the six guarantees outlined in its manifesto.
The sources said CM Revanth Reddy might part with some of the portfolios he is holding. Reddy is currently holding education, home, minority welfare, municipal administration, and a few other portfolios.
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal gathered information on the cabinet aspirants from Telangana Congress brass in New Delhi on Monday. However, the party high command has yet to announce the names of candidates who will be making it to Revanth’s cabinet.
According to a senior Congress leader, anything is possible in the grand old party. A cabinet expansion may take place before Ugadi (March 30) too. But the budget session of the assembly would continue up to March 27. Then, there is amavasya (March 28-29).
The CM will be launching the fine variety rice supply through ration shops at a program in the Huzurnagar assembly constituency on Ugadi Day. “Keeping all this in view, we are expecting the cabinet expansion after Ugadi and most likely on April 3," the senior leader said.
