'Will Bring The Bride...': Groom Walks Miles To Wedding Event Amid Landslides In J&K's Ramban
The groom said that the bride would be brought back from the wedding ceremony in the same way as the roads remain uncleared at several points in the Ramban district.

The landslides and flash floods triggered by a cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district killed three people, blocked major roads and washed away several houses and local shops, said officials.
As a result of the natural calamity, a groom, with the wedding procession, was seen travelling on foot to reach the ceremony venue. He was forced to walk miles on his special day as the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed due to landslides.

“It is my wedding day. We have to go on foot. This is the situation because of the heavy rainfall yesterday. We started travelling at 6 am. We parked our cars behind and now we will walk the rest of the way. We still have around 7-8 km more to walk," Mashkoor, the groom, told news agency ANI.

Cloudburst In Ramban
The cloudburst triggered by unprecedented rainfall in the Ramban district caused severe damage to the people, claiming three lives and leaving one person missing.
Those who died were identified as Mohd Aqib (14), Mohd Sakib (9) and Mohan Singh (75), all residents of Bagna Panchayat, said officials aware of the matter.
The landslides in the region blocked traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway as the roads remained unclear at several points, especially between Nashri and Banihal.
Authorities informed that several teams, including one from the Border Roads Organisation, are on the ground with high-end machines to clear the road for traffic at the earliest.
Schools Closed In Valley
All government and private schools, colleges, and technical institutions in Ramban will remain closed on Monday, April 21, due to adverse weather conditions, according to a directive issued by the Deputy Commissioner, which also urged residents to stay indoors for safety.
In a separate order, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir announced that all schools, including private ones, in the Valley will also be shut on the same day due to the weather. However, both teaching and non-teaching staff are required to report to duty.
Meanwhile, authorities in Leh have issued a similar advisory, directing the closure of all government and private schools in the district for the next three days.
