Who knew that Bobby Deol’s Aashram 3 and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal could ever have a crossover! The latest promo for the series, featuring Deol in his Aashram 3 character Baba Nirala, with Chahal playing himself, will leave you rolling on the floor laughing.
The video starts with a fully padded-up Yuzvendra Chahal approaching Baba Nirala [Bobby Deol] to have his lifelong wish of being an opening batsman fulfilled. Quite typical of his character on the show, Baba grants his wish with his signature ‘Tathastu!’ But, there is a twist.

Instead of opening an inning, Chahal finds himself opening water bottles, ketchup bottles, tiffins, and even jammed doors for people. Realising his fate, the cricketer sighs, “Accha opener bana diya Baba (You gave me a good opener)." The scene cuts to Baba Nirala, seated on his throne, declaring, “Baba ke aashram se koi bhi khaali haath nahi jata (No one leaves Baba’s ashram empty-handed)." Check out the promo here:

Speaking about his unexpected ‘opening’ role, Yuzvendra Chahal said, “As a cricketer, I’ve faced plenty of challenges on the field, but this Aashram twist was a whole new experience. I’ve joked around quite often of being an opening batsman and with Baba Nirala’s blessings, let’s see what transpires."
Meanwhile, Chahal is in the news for his ongoing divorce rumours with choreographer Dhanashree Verma. While the duo haven’t officially announced their split, they keep dropping cryptic posts on love and life on their respectives social media handles.
Recently, the cricketer’s lawyer revealed that the proceedings are still underway. “I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub judice. The media should fact-check before reporting, as a lot of misleading information is being circulated," the lawyer said.
Later, an ABP report claimed that during the court hearing, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra revealed that they had been staying separately for 18 months. When asked about the possible reason behind their divorce, the couple admitted to having ‘compatibility issues’.
