Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai Writer Manoj Santoshi Passes Away After Battling Liver Cancer
Manoj Santoshi, writer of popular television shows such as ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’, passed away on Monday.

Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai writer Manoj Santoshi, who was battling liver cancer, passed away on Monday. India Forums reported that he succumbed to liver cancer after bravely battling the disease for a long time. As per the report, he breathed his last on Monday in his hometown, Aligarh. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing.
A source closely associated to Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai informed India Forums about the death of Manoj Santoshi. “Manoj passed away early morning today in his hometown Aligarh. His family was present with him," said the source. So far, the news of the writer’s death hasn’t been shared by the production house or the actors of Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai.

The news of Manoj Santoshi battling liver cancer surfaced last month after FIR actress Kavita Kaushik shared a post on Instagram, urging fans to pray for his recovery. She wrote that producer Binaifer Kohli and actress Shilpa Shinde had been supporting him during the difficult time. “You may know him as the writer of Bhabhi ji ghar par hai, Happu paltan, jeeja ji chatth par , Madam may i come in , last few episodes of f.i.r , office office and various other comedies…. Today i ask you all to Pray for Manoj Santoshi.. as he is in the hospital with a crumbling liver, Angels like @binaiferkohli and her entire team is fighting to save him, pls pray for this wonderful human, big shout out to the amazing @shilpa_shinde_official for taking care of him," she wrote, in a post shared in February.
Kavita shared a throwback video of Manoj Santoshi singing a song during one of their meet-ups. “Writer who’s made the country laugh for decades…Is fighting for his life. Prayers for Manoj Santoshi," she wrote.
Manoj Santoshi was the screen writer of popular shows like ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’, ‘Jijaji Chhat Par Hai’, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ and other shows.
