Disha Salian Death: Closure Report Alleges Father's Affair And Misuse Of Funds
Nearly five years after Disha Salian’s death, a closure report has surfaced alleging that she died by suicide due to emotional and financial betrayal by her father, Satish Salian.

Nearly five years after the death of celebrity manager Disha Salian, new details have emerged from a closure report that cast her father, Satish Salian, in a controversial light. The report, as cited by Mid-Day, suggests Disha died by suicide, driven by a combination of professional setbacks and personal betrayal—most notably, financial mismanagement and an alleged affair involving her father.
According to the report, Disha had confided in close friends and her fiancé, Rohan Roy, about her distress. They stated she was upset over two stalled projects she was handling at her job with Cornerstone Company. Compounding her stress, she reportedly discovered that her father had spent her hard-earned money on a female employee at his spice business in Thane. The report claims Satish was in a relationship with this employee, and this betrayal left Disha deeply shaken.

“All of Salian’s friends and her fiancé Roy also stated in their police statements that she had confided in them about her father’s affair and how he had spent the money she gave him for business on another woman," the report reads.
A post-mortem report had previously ruled out any signs of assault and stated that her death was the result of a severe head injury.
However, Satish Salian has dismissed the closure report as irrelevant, citing a Supreme Court judgment that renders such reports—filed under Section 174 CrPC—legally inadmissible in criminal proceedings. His lawyer, Nilesh Ojha, emphasized that the report cannot be relied upon to dismiss allegations where cognizable offenses may be involved.
On March 17, Satish publicly demanded narco tests on all individuals he believes should be investigated in connection with Disha’s death. This includes political leader Aaditya Thackeray, and actors Sooraj Pancholi and Dino Morea. He also demanded personal protection, claiming prior government inaction forced him to approach the courts.
Responding to renewed scrutiny, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray denied any involvement from his family, urging that any valid evidence be brought to court.
Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020—just days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death—sparking a wave of speculation that has yet to subside.
