Emraan Hashmi Turns BSF Commandant From Kashmir In First Look Poster From 'Ground Zero', Release Date Out
Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero, backed by Excel Entertainment, releases on April 25, 2025. He plays BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey in Kashmir.
Emraan Hashmi-led Ground Zero has been in the making for some time now. And looks like the Excel Entertainment-backed film is finally ready to be presented to the audience. The makers dropped the first riveting look poster of Emraan from the project. They also announced the release date of the film.
The poster features Emraan as BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dubey, posted in Kashmir. With his back towards the camera, the actor held a gun in his hand as he stood overlooking the landscape of Kashmir. Thick black fumes emerged from some of the houses, indicating a blast. The poster also confirmed the film’s release date – April 25, 2025. “The untold story of a mission that changed Kashmir forever. #GroundZero in cinemas on 25th April, 2025. #AbPrahaarHoga," wrote Emraan, while sharing the poster. Later, the makers released a new poster from the film, this time featuring a part of Emraan’s face. It was also mentioned that the film’s teaser will be out tomorrow, March 28. “A battle fought in the shadows, now coming to light", read a part of the caption.

Emraan, as a BSF Deputy Commandant, will lead high-stakes two-year investigation into a national security threat in the film, inspired by true events. The film stars Saie Tamhankar, currently seen in Netflix’s Dabba Cartel.
In 2022, it was reported a miscreant tried to disrupt the film’s shooting in Pahalgam by pelting stones at the film’s crew. An FIR was lodged in the matter. As per ANI, the Anantnag police station had registered an FIR against the miscreant. In the statement released by the police station, they said, “During the ongoing shooting of the film in Pahalgam, after completing the shoot at 07.15 pm on September 18, a miscreant pelted stones at the crew members. An FIR (FIR No. 77/2022) has been registered at Pahalgam Police Station in this case. At the same time, the miscreants are also identified and arrested."

Ground Zero is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment Production. The film is directed by Tejas Deoskar and co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sundeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar, and Nishikant Roy.
